Kiwi and Pineapple are a great combination on their own. However, add a bit of whipped cream and a fancy serving glass and all of a sudden, you have a fancy dessert. I served this to my daughter the other day in this wine glass turned dessert glass and she said, “wow, fancy!” She felt very special getting her fruit in this glass. It really didn’t take any effort to serve it to her in this beautiful glass versus just scooping some in a bowl. It made an impact and made her feel special.

First Taste of Kiwi
I still remember when my husband’s uncle came up from Florida and made this pineapple and kiwi fruit cocktail. I had never heard of a kiwi before and having a fresh pineapple was not a daily fruit staple in our house. The combination of flavors was so good. I liked both of the fruits separately, but together, they were even better. Therefore, I pass this recipe onto you so you can enjoy this light & refreshing fruit cocktail too.
Serving with Style
Sometimes when I want to make something look fancy, I put a bit of thought into how I am going to present this. Use the platter, glasses, bowls, and plates that you have that are fancy. Sometimes, you might have just that one plate that is beautiful all on its own. Put a piece of cake or serve some fruit on it and it can become a stylish presentation.
Preparing the Pineapple
It is nice to use a pineapple tool to remove the rind and core from the pineapple. It even makes spiral slices so all you have to do is cut the spiral slices into smaller bite-sized pieces. This is what I use. Once I had one, I don’t know what I would do without one. I highly recommend that you purchase one for yourself. They are so cheap, but they save you so much time and mess. Did I say just love mine?!?
Preparing the Kiwi
While there is a kiwi fruit peeler, to be honest, I don’t use it. I just peel with a pairing knife and use a chef knife to cut it into smaller bite-sized pieces on my favorite bamboo cutting board. However, here is a kiwi peeler that is quite popular if you choose to go that route.
