Cut up the bacon pieces and fry until crisp. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
I like to use the bacon grease to cook the sprouts; however, some folks might prefer using olive oil for a lighter taste.Add the cleaned, trimmed, and sliced sprouts and season with salt and pepper. Sauté until tender.
Add the bacon pieces back in.
Add the heavy cream, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Simmer 5 minutes.
Using the skillet or a pretty baking dish, top with parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 minutes at 300 degrees Fahrenheit, until hot and bubbly.
