Equipment
1 Crochet Hook: I used a size N 9.0mm crochet hook for the chunky weight and size I 5.5mm crochet hook for the medium weight yarn.
1 Scissors:
1 Yarn Needle
1 Measuring Tape.
Materials
Yarn. For my samples I used number 6 chunky weight yarn and a number 4 medium weight yarn.

Instructions
Begin Even Moss Stitch Pattern
Place a slip knot on your crochet hook.
Yarn.
Chain any number of stitches in a multiple of 2 + 1.
Row 1
HDC in the 2nd CH from the hook. Work a SL ST in the next CH. [HDC in the next CH. SL ST in the next CH]. Repeat between [ ] across. You will end with a SL ST in the last ST. Turn
Row 2
CH 1 (Does not count as a ST). [HDC in the SL ST, SL ST in the HDC]. Repeat between [ ] across. End with a SL ST in the last ST. Turn
(For this row, work all your HDC in the SL ST and all SL ST in the HDC STs of the previous row).
Row 3
CH 1 (Does not count as a ST). [HDC in the SL ST. SL ST in the HDC]. Repeat between [ ] across. End with a SL ST in the last ST. Turn
Rows 4 and Beyond
Repeat row 3 for the remainder of your project.
