Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). I just use a 9 X 13 baking pan. Give it a quick spray with cooking oil. But you can use a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil to catch any drips and make cleanup easier.
Place the chicken skin side down in the baking sheet, making sure not to crowd the pieces. Pour the water in the pan. The water keeps the chicken moist and helps create a sauce. Sprinkle with 1/2 the pepper and seasoned salt. Bake for 40 minutes uncovered.
1 Whole Chicken with skin on, 1 Cup Water, 2 Tsp. Lawry's Seasoned Salt, 1/2 Tsp. Pepper
Turn the chicken and sprinkle the rest of the pepper and seasoned salt. Continue baking uncovered until the chicken registers 165 degrees on a meat thermometer. Approximately 50 minutes. The skin should be golden and crispy. Enjoy
Once done, let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving. This helps the juices redistribute, keeping the meat tender.
