Instructions
Cook and break apart the hamburger, taco seasoning, and add the onion. When fully cooked, remove from pan and set aside.
Clean the pan if anything stuck to it and start the next step.Prepare the skillet with a light spray of oil or lightly butter the bottom and sides. It will help crisp the biscuits and allow the bake to come out of the pan with ease.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Open the tube of Grands Biscuits. I used seven of them for the base and sides. The one biscuit that was left over, I ripped into pieces and placed on top for the second bake. When placing the biscuits in the pan, I pulled them slightly and flattened them to make them larger. Then placed them side-by-side in the pan covering the bottom and about have way up the sides of the pan. One flattened biscuit placed in the middle filled the hole nicely. Press all the edges together and bake for 10-minutes.
Mix the taco seasoning with the sour cream, set aside. Crush the Doritos, set aside.
When the 10-minutes of baking is up, remove from the oven. Layer the following ingredients: half of the crushed Doritos, hamburger mixture, ¾ of the sour cream mixture, and half of the shredded cheese. Top with the pieces of the one unbaked biscuit. Bake for another 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and top with the rest of the shredded cheese, sour cream and taco sauce mixture, and crushed Doritos. Add Lettuce, tomatoes, green onion, and anything else you can think of for topping ideas. If you like more heat, add some hot sauce too.
