Make This Two-Color Blanket Design in Different Colors of Yarn

The best part about this crochet project is that it uses basic crochet stitches to create a soft, snuggly blanket with a beautiful texture. The two-color design adds extra visual interest, making it a wonderful addition to any space.

I love experimenting with colors that complement each other or opting for bold, contrasting shades. It’s one of the things I love about crochet. Seeing the colors come together as the beautiful blanket grows.

I made this chunky two-color blanket using two different color combinations. One uses a country blue paired with a whipped cream. The other uses a misty green paired with the same whipped cream yarn. However, this cozy blanket also looks lovely in a solid color.

The border consists of two rounds of single crochet stitches.

If carrying the yarn up the side of the blanket, add a border to cover the strand of yarn carried. Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

There is a video of how to carry the yarn up the side of the blanket after the written pattern.

Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
