This stamped cross stitch cardinal table runner is a project that does take some time. Focus on one section at a time. Celebrate the completion of each section and move onto the next. It can be done if you keep after it. Working on a stamped cross stitch project can help melt the stress of the day away. What a great way to clear my mind just before going to bed so I don’t keep thinking about all of the work I have to do yet. You still get something don while you are relaxing.

Stamped Cross Stitch Cardinal Table Runner Pattern
It is a cross stitch pattern that is stamped on the table runner cloth. While this did not come as a kit, the pattern does come stamped on the material. I also have a variety of old iron-on transfers that could be transferred onto cloth and I could embroider. This version had an all blue stamped pattern, which lets the person doing the cross stitch embroidery the option of choosing their own colors and design. Here are some close up pictures of the various sections of the table runner. It is hard to see the detail in the picture that shows the whole project.
Neatness Counts
The picture above shows the neatness of the stitches. They are as close to being the exact stitch length as possible. Notice how the stitch from the top right to the bottom right is always the stitch crossed over on top. This brings a nice uniformity to the project. I just love this stamped cross stitch cardinal table runner.
The pictures below show the cross stitch detail of the two cardinals.
Favorite Kits
Find your favorite kit. Create your own treasured cross stitch creation that will be passed down through the generations. I treasure the things that my grandmother made many years ago. I still have a torn paper bag with many iron-on transfers from my grandmother’s stash. Sometimes, it is fun just to go through them and dream about what I could make. The possibilities are endless.
Here is a cute puppy cross stitch kit. Or try this beautiful peacock cross stitch kit. However, this cute kitty kit would be fun too.
Use a Cross Stitch Kit
The kits that I have chosen to highlight below are stamped cross stitch pictures. However, there is a great variety of material from aprons, to table cloths for embroidery options. The kits shown below are my favorites. I love the birds and flowers below. Some kits do have themes for children and males in your life too.
Iron-on Transfers
If you would like to try an iron-on transfer, here are a few for you to choose from. I put them on the cloth, cover it with a light cotton towel and hold the iron on for a minute or so. However, if the iron-on transfer comes with directions, by all means, go with that over mine.
