Pattern Notes
Written in US Terms
Turn at the end of the row.
Chain 2 at the beginning of the double crochet rows does not count as a stitch.
Chain 1 at the beginning of the single crochet rows does not count as a stitch.
Often, the color change is done at the end of a row. Another option is using a knot to secure the yarn ends in a way that it will not slip. This is nice for reducing the number of loose ends to wave in. However, if using a solid color for this chunky yarn blanket, the knot may show. This method would be better for a multi-colored yarn. Here is a video tutorial on the Yarn Knot Join on our YouTube channel.
When working the single crochet row, to help with a straight edge and stitch count, place the last stitch between the CH 2 and the BLDC of the previous row.
When working the double crochet row, to help with a straight edge and stitch count, place the last stitch between the CH 1 and the BLSC of the previous row.
