Homemade balsamic vinaigrette is so incredibly easy to prepare, has only four simple ingredients. It is easy to grab a bottle of salad dressing off the grocery store shelf and have it in your pantry when you need it, However, it is even easier to grab the pantry ingredients you probably already have and make a quick and tasty salad dressing.

Four Simple Ingredients for This Recipe
Olive Oil: For this salad dressing, I like to use the light olive oil. According to Cooks Illustrated, “Light olive oil contains the same number of calories as other olive oils; the “light” refers to flavor.”
Sugar: A little sweetness is needed to tame the tanginess of the vinegar. You can also use Honey, Maple Syrup, or Brown Sugar.
Soy Sauce: The soy sauce adds another dimensional taste and makes this dressing extra special.
Balsamic Vinegar: I like to use a good quality balsamic vinegar. If you ever took a taste test of a few, you would quickly notice that there is a difference. Here is a great article explaining how to choose the best balsamic vinegar.
4 Ingredient Balsamic Vinaigrette
- 2 Tbl Light Olive Oil
- 2 Tbl White Granulated Sugar
- 2 Tbl Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 Tbl Light Soy Sauce
- Salt To taste
- Pepper To taste
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and use a whisk to mix. Or you can add all the ingredients into a jar and shake to mix.
- Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week.
