Beautiful and Soft Yarn
The combination of the double crochet stitch and this beautiful and soft yarn really makes this project fun to make and cozy to wear. Hint: sometimes, this yarn is hard to see the stitch that you are supposed to make your double crochet in. Therefore, you might find it easier to insert the hook in the space between the double crochet stitches, yarn over, pull through the yarn and complete your double crochet stitch.
Wearing with a Beautiful Brooch
I love wearing a beautiful brooch to show off my handiwork. I have accumulated many brooches through the years. If you don’t have any, I would encourage you to start your own collection. Here are some brooches that would look gorgeous with your crochet scarf.
The scarf uses thick yarn so it’s super soft and cozy. Plus, the stitch is simple enough that a beginner can make it.
Give the Gift of Crochet
At the time of writing this blog post, the holidays are right around the corner. I am starting to make gifts for the holidays right now. This crochet scarf would be a gift that would bring joy to the recipient.
Recently, I gave a scarf to my God Daughter and she put the scarf on right when she opened the gift and kept it on the rest of the day. Guess she liked it. The gift of a crochet scarf would be pair perfectly with a brooch. Who wouldn’t love receiving that gift?
Giving to Those Less Fortunate
In Wisconsin, the weather is getting cold and there are also those that are less fortunate and need something warm to wear. I had to shovel snow for the first time this week. Now would also be an appropriate time to donate some of your handmade items to those in need.
