The meat is cooked just right and the sauce amps up the taste just enough without overpowering the full flavor meat taste. Also, just look at that juicy tenderness. Yum!

Using What You Have

We live out in the country and we do not have the pleasure of ordering food and having it delivered. So, that means that I need to have a well stocked pantry and home cooking is on the menu most of the time. Today was no exception. Yesterday, I dug in the freezer and found two packages of pork ribs. I put them in the refrigerator to thaw for today. As I searched through my cupboards, I see that I only have 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce left. But then, I found this jar of apple & cranberry chutney that is just delicious on its own. Therefore, time for a new recipe today…I decided that this would be the star of the ribs today.

Finding the Food Products

The Tastefully Simple Seasoned Salt can be found here. It has spices, bell peppers, celery, and sea sale in this all-purpose seasoning. Just perfect for burgers, chops, eggs, veggies and more. It comes in a (6.75 ounce shaker jar). Sometimes, these little jars of sauces and jams are just the perfect amount for that extra flavor in your recipes.

Then I cut the 4 full racks in half to fit in the kettle easier. In a dutch oven like the red one pictured above, I cut the 4 full racks in half to fit in the kettle easier. I placed the pork ribs in a half circle around the kettle on their sides. Cover and cook for 2 hours.
  • Remove from dutch oven, cut into individual rib pieces, and, place on a cookie sheet lined with tin foil. (Don’t turn the oven off).
