I Love Deep-Fried Anything
The whole family loves deep-fried chicken. However, I think we would have some major health problems if we ate it everyday. Therefore, I feed my family this delicious oven-fried chicken. All the scrumptious flavor without all the fat.
This crispy oven fried chicken really isn’t difficult to make. The hardest part here will just be waiting for it to bake in the oven!
This chicken recipe has been a go-to recipe for over 30 years. What I can tell you is that each time I make it, my family is happy. When you come home from a long day of work, sometimes, that last thing you want to do is fuss over making a meal. Well, this is a set it and forget it meal.
It takes less than 10 minutes to prep & a little over an hour to cook.
You Too Can Make this Delicious Meal
I use Bisquick and some spices. So, minutes to prep and just over an hour to bake. It’s done. You can be making other side dishes to go along with this while it is in the oven. Or, bake something along with this. Put the whole meal in the oven, sit with your glass of wine and relax while dinner is baking.

While I make this with a whole chicken with the skin on, you can use this recipe for just your favorite parts of the chicken.
If baking parts of the chicken, I would cook the wings or the legs for about 40-45 minutes, turning them after 30 minutes of baking. Make sure to use a meat thermometer inserted near the center. It should read 165 degrees Fahrenheit. This recipe would be great for chicken tenders as well. Again, remember to adjust the baking times.
Skin on or skin off?
I prefer the skin on for this recipe as it provides such a delicious, crispy texture. However, this recipe will also work without the skin on. Adjust to your preference. This would even be great for
How much chicken should you plan per person?
Generally, if you serve this chicken with a side dish and salad for instance, you can plan on 2 pieces of chicken per person. However, if you are going to rely mainly on the chicken to fill up your family, plan 4 pieces.
Can you store this chicken?
Yes, if you have any leftover pieces. Get them into the refrigerator as soon as you can. Never leave food out as bacteria can start to grow. Store the chicken in a shallow container. Reheat it in the oven for a crispy reheated chicken. However, you can microwave this for a minute or so, but the crust will not be crispy like it is when it comes out of the oven.
