Fun Dessert Cocktail Decorations
While this is a fabulous drink anytime of the year, you can really dress up the glass by adding something to the edge.
Recently, my daughter made the Blushing Bunny Easter Cocktail, and she decorated the rim of the glass with little chocolate bunnies. It turned out so cute. They also compliment the ingredients in the drink too, so go ahead and take a bite of the chocolate between sips of the dessert in a glass.
How to Make an Easter Cocktail
In clean glasses, layer your milk of choice with your chocolate liqueur. Don’t worry about mixing it perfectly. Next, use either a straw (like I did) or a spoon, or a steady hand, to pour in the raspberry liquor. It is important to get the raspberry liqueur to the bottom of the glass without pouring it all the way through the middle of your other ingredients. That will distort the color. You want just a little blush on the bottom of the glass.
Once you have the raspberry liqueur at the bottom, simply give a little flick of a stir with a straw or stir stick to have it “blush” the bottom of the glass. Your guests can stir it more once they receive it if they want to.
Chocolate Raspberry Holiday Cocktail Garnish Ideas
If you plan on serving this at other times throughout the year, simply garnish with a few raspberries on a small wooden pick. The fruity combination with the white and milk chocolate is heavenly.
Here are a few more garnish ideas for a chocolate drink
- Sprinkle a bit of shaved chocolate on top.
- Whipped Cream
- Whipped cream with mini chocolate chips
- Rim the top of the glass with chocolate powder. I would use a sweetened powder though
- Mini Marshmallows and Raspberries on Bamboo Skewers cut in half. Alternating the fruit with the marshmallows
- Mini Toasted Marshmallows on a stick
Recipe Ingredients
There are just three ingredients to this delicious combination. White or milk chocolate liqueur, raspberry liqueur, and milk. Just make sure that the milk is ice cold.
This would be a wonderful combination as an ice cream blended drink. Just swap out the milk for ice cream. It would not necessarily have to be vanilla ice cream either. Try new flavor combinations to find your perfect one.
