Shower Melt Holder
Initially, my goal was to make a shower melt holder. My friend gave me some amazing shower melts with a mesh bag. I took one look at that and said to myself; I can crochet a pretty and mini bag holder for my shower.
The search was one for a cut little pouch. While there are a variety of drawstring bag patterns on the web, what I had in my mind was not to be found. Therefore, I kept trying until I achieved the look and size that was right for this.

Once the little pouch was made, it also became apparent that it could be used for so many other purposes. Here is what I came up with. You might be even more creative.
- Goody Bag
- Mini Purse
- Little Pouch
- Drawstring Bag
- Treat Bag
- Gift Sack
- Shower Melt Holder
- Soap Holder
- Keepsake Bag
- Trinket Pouch
- Gift Bag
Shower Melt Holder in Fun Colors
I am working on a set of SPA crochet patterns and this little shower melt holder will be included in the set. These were made in several colors that are perfect for a relaxing SPA day. However, my yarn stash had a lot of red and white cotton yarn. Here are a few photos of the pretty little bags in red and white.

Gift Bags for Christmas and Valentines
Once I had made a few mini bags in red and white yarn, I realized how cute they would look filled with little treasures. What a cute presentation for that special someone in your life.
Flower Applique on Drawstring Bag
As I was making the SPA set, I had quite a bit of leftover scraps of yarn. Flowers are easy and quick to make. If you would like that pattern, you can get that one here. In the photo, three of the small flowers are attached. I left the yarn strings on the flowers long so it can be tied and woven back and forth in the flower to hide the yarn ends. I then trimmed off the leftover yarn.

This pattern begins with the magic circle. If you are unfamiliar with the magic circle – no worries. I have a complete tutorial for you here.

Quick and Easy Crochet Bag
This crochet pattern is very budget friendly as I can generally get two bags from one skein of cotton yarn. I even get to make some face scrubbies too. They work up quickly, I mean less than an hour a piece.
I hope that the photos have given you some ideas on what you can use these cute crochet bags for. I just love them…

Would this be large enough to hold some scrubbies, so they can go in the wash? and will it hold a bar of soap? Thanks

This bag holds a shower melt. It would hold a scrubbie or two folded up. I don’t think it is large enough for a bar of soap. However, this patter here will hold a bar of soap. https://patternprincess.com/simple-soap-holder-crochet-pattern/
