Sunshine Butter Sauce

What is Sunshine Butter Sauce?

It is a scrumptious buttery sauce that goes with so many things. I have had it with vegetables, many different types of meat and seafood, and used it as a dipping sauce. Quickly make this sauce with garlic, butter, honey, parsley, lemon, and a bit of salt. It is a bright tasting sauce with a rich garlic undertone.

Restaurant Recipe Finish

Often, restaurants use simple sauces to finish off their dishes. Believe me, they have a handful of tried and true recipes that they use all the time. In my time cooking in restaurants, I have picked up a few of their recipes. Each one had their go-to recipes. However, many of their secret sauces are made of simple pantry ingredients and take just minutes to prepare.

Yes, just 6 ingredients and 5 minutes to make this sauce that pairs so well with pasta, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, chicken, or vegetables.

I have pan fried beef and pork steaks in a skillet and added the ingredients to this sauce in the last 5 minutes of frying. It deglazes the pan and combines to make a great sauce accompaniment for the meat.

Make 8 ounces of cooked pasta, add some cooked chicken, and mix with this sauce and you will be amazed at the lovely taste. Of course, top off with some shredded cheese, perhaps Parmesan, Romano, Gorgonzola, Asiago, or another favorite.

Make skewers of meat and vegetables for the grill. Brush this sauce on the top for grilling and make sure to save some for dipping too. Yum.

This makes a delicious dip for your meats, seafood, bread, and vegetables too.

Here are the magical simple ingredients that come together for amazing flavor that will have you reaching for that piece of bread to mop up the leftover sauce. There is no doubt that garlic butter is magnificent on warm bread.

Butter. A good butter is a must in this recipe. I use salted grade A butter. I just add a bit less salt to the end of the recipe.

Honey. We buy our honey locally from a neighbor; however, any honey will work simply fine. Hint: when adding honey to recipes. Spray the measuring container with a bit of spray oil. The honey will slide right out.

Garlic Cloves. While freshly minced garlic is best when used in recipes, I sometimes find myself without any and the store is half hour away. Therefore, I have used store bought minced garlic in a jar and it has worked out wonderfully.

Lemon Juice. I have tried this recipe with and without the lemon as I thought it might be too overpowering. However, it really lifts the sauce and adds that perfect brightness. I really like it better with the fresh lemon juice added.

Parsley. Here I like to use fresh parsley. However, I often purchase the fresh in the store and use it for other recipes. Then freeze the leftovers to keep it fresh. This is a perfect recipe to get out those frozen bags of parsley, chop up the leaves and add to this recipe. Fresh cilantro works well in this recipe too.

Salt. To make all the flavors pop. If desired, add a bit of black pepper.
