It is hard to have just one cracker with the spinach dip. This is very addicting.

Serving Suggestions for This Spinach Dip

Today, the family ate the dip with club crackers. However, this pairs great with many things such as chips.

Use a circular rye bread. Take out the center of the rye bread and use it as a bowl for the spinach dip. Then take the bread pieces that were in the middle and place those around the outside of the bread bowl so people can dip that in the delicious dip.

This spinach dip tastes wonderful with a wide variety of fresh vegetables:

  • Cucumbers
  • Carrots
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Sweet Peppers
  • Pea Pods
  • Radishes
  • Green Onions

Knorr’s Famous Spinach Dip Recipe

It is delicious and I have been making it for years.

The recipe is printed right on the Vegetable Recipe Mix Packet. However, I add a secret ingredient to make it a bit thicker and creamier. To me without the addition of this ingredient, the dip is just a bit too salty for me. Therefore, I have added one ingredient that has made all the difference for my family.

What is the Secret Ingredient Improvement?

Cream Cheese has made all the difference. If you have never made this easy cold spinach dip recipe, I urge you to give it a try.

Recipe Hints

Using the frozen chopped spinach makes this recipe super quick and easy to make.

Drain the Liquid from the Spinach

First thaw the spinach. Then make sure to squeeze out the excess water. if this is not done, the recipe will be little soupy. However, getting the water out of spinach can be a messy task. I have experimented with this and here is my go-to trick now. I use a colander with many holes. Lay paper towels in the bottom. Add the spinach and use another paper towel to push on the spinach. Normally, I will get 1/3 of a cup of liquid. The water will drain away and clean up is a breeze. I show you in the photo below.

Softening the Cream Cheese

This recipe can easily be mixed by hand if the cream cheese is softened first. I take the cream cheese and microwave it for 1 minute on power level 40. Then cream the cheese before adding the other ingredients. The end result will be a creamier spinach dip as the cheese will be well incorporated
